Round Table Sri Lanka Backs Karma Fight League’s Vision to Build a Combat Sports Industry

Karma Fight League (KFL) has quickly become one of Sri Lanka’s most exciting  homegrown brands. But beyond the crowd-pulling events, the team behind KFL  has been focused on something bigger—building an entire combat sports  industry from the ground up.

From signing full-time athletes under the KFL Fighter Development Program to  planning the launch of the Karma Foundation later this year, KFL is creating a  long-term ecosystem for the sport.

The goal is clear: to make Sri Lanka a regional hub for professional combat  sports, driving growth in both sports entertainment and tourism. Now, Round Table Sri Lanka (RTSL) has joined hands with KFL as a strategic  partner to help scale that vision.

Known for supporting high-impact, purpose-driven initiatives, Round Table’s  support adds new momentum to the league’s efforts.

Raveen Wickramasinghe, Immediate Past President of Round Table Sri Lanka,  stated that KFL is doing something that we rarely see, there building an entire  industry. Round Table’s global network and values align with Karma Fight  League’s vision. He emphasized that Round Table is active in over 60 countries,  fosters leadership and community service. With particularly strong ties in India  and Nepal, Round Table Sri Lanka is committed to supporting KFL’s regional  growth by leveraging its network, event expertise, and international  partnerships to help KFL expand its reach and impact.

Their partnership recognizes the potential for combat sports to not only  entertain but to contribute to the country’s economy, tourism, and youth  development.

Since its inception, the KFL team and its founders have worked consistently to  build the league from the ground up. What began as a simple local idea has  now attracted international fighters, major sponsorships, and a growing  national following.

In countries like Thailand, combat sports have evolved into full-scale  entertainment and tourism industries. With continued support, Sri Lanka could  follow a similar path and KFL is positioning itself to lead the way.

The partnership with Round Table Sri Lanka reflects increasing recognition of  this potential and the momentum KFL has built.

KFL 005, takes place on July 25 at Cinnamon Life. With tickets already selling

fast, it’s expected to be the league’s biggest event yet. Tickets are available at tickets.karmafightleague.com
