The much-awaited SLTA-Yeti Hard Court Tennis Championships 2024, organized by the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA), kicks off today at the SLTA and Ladies’ College Courts in Colombo.

This year’s event has drawn an impressive 1,000+ entries from players across Sri Lanka. Participants range from emerging young athletes to seasoned professionals, all competing for top honors in various categories.

During the launch ceremony, Dr. Dilshan Balasuriya, Director of YETI, emphasized the importance of electrolytes and vitamin supplementation for athletes. He noted that in Sri Lanka’s hot and humid conditions, staying hydrated is crucial for maintaining peak physical and mental performance. “Even slight dehydration can impact an athlete’s game,” Dr. Balasuriya added.

Malik Perera, CEO of YETI, expressed his company’s commitment to supporting sports in Sri Lanka. “At Yeti, we help you realize your sporting dreams, and we are proud to support this tournament, turning our vision into action,” he said.
