Twenty teams for Colombo Malay Cricket Club Netball tourney

Twenty teams will take part in the third Open Netball Championship 2024 conducted by the Colombo Malay Cricket Club (CMCC) will be held tomorrow( 30) at the Malay Grounds in Colombo, commencing at 8.00 a.m.

Among the 20 leading netball teams, seven school teams will be in action in this tournament, which will be conducted on a league and knockout basis. Kolonnawa Balika , Princess of Wales ‘A’ , Princess of Wales ‘B’, IIama International, Sacred Heart Convent Galle, Hejaaz International are schools teams while Kotelawala Defence University team also among the participating teams and keen tussle to be expected at this event.

The champions and the runners-up will receive awards, while special awards will be presented to the best attacking player, best shooter, and netball queen.In addition, all participating teams will receive certificates.

The participating teams: Campbell Park Team, Coach ‘H’ Team 1, Coach ‘H’ Team 2, Princes of Wales ‘A’, Hameedias Team, Goal Getters, Kotte Netball Club, Heaven Roses Academy, CMCC, Kolonnawa Balika, Princes of Wales ‘B’, llama International, Sacred Heart, Galle, Mabole Malay Association, Speed Birds Sports Club, Kotelawala Defence University, Stanley Janz Club, Coach ‘H’ Team 3, and Hejaaz International.
