Two brothers killed, mother injured in motorcycle crash

Two brothers were killed and their mother was seriously injured after the motorcycle they were travelling on veered off the road and collided with a streetlight pole in the Halabandaragama area on the Madampe–Kuliyapitiya Road this morning (28).

The accident occurred at around 5:30 a.m., according to police.

The deceased have been identified as two brothers, aged 17 and 11, residents of Weerakodiyana in Dummalasuriya.

Their mother, who sustained serious injuries in the crash, was admitted to the Chilaw General Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.

Madampe Police are conducting further investigations into the accident.
