Nithyakalyani Jewellery successfully hosts its 9th consecutive blood donation campaign

Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery, a pioneer in the jewellery industry, successfully organized its 9th consecutive blood donation campaign recently. The event was conducted in collaboration with Rotary Club of Colombo East and the Rotaract Club of CfPS Law School, with valuable support from officials, doctors, and nursing staff from the National Blood Transfusion Centre, as well as Wellawatta Police and Sri Lanka Army. Nearly 150 donors, including residents of the area, attended the campaign, out of which over 100 were able to donate blood. As a token of appreciation, all donors received a valuable photo frame from the event as a souvenir, coordinated by Sujeewa and the dedicated staff of Nithyakalyani Jewellery.

“This blood donation program is one among many social welfare initiatives we continue to carry out. We are delighted to have conducted it successfully once again this year, and we look forward to continuing the program in the years ahead,” said A P Jayarajah, Chief Executive Officer of Nithyakalyani Jewellery. Recognizing the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility, Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery consistently engages in community-oriented initiatives. These include beach clean-up projects, renovation of religious sites, and contributions to the education of schoolchildren. More recently, the company also organized a program to recognize healthcare workers and municipal staff engaged in maintaining cleanliness in Wellawatta.
