ComBank Home Loans Fiesta returns with huge benefits for aspiring homeowners

Lowest market rates, supplier discounts up to 40%, 50% off on documentation charges, and flexible repayment options on offer until 30th September

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has relaunched its popular Home Loans Fiesta for 2025, offering attractive interest rates, substantial cost savings, and a range of tailor-made repayment plans to help customers build, buy, or renovate their dream homes. Running until 30th September 2025, the campaign is designed to make home ownership more affordable and accessible for a wide range of borrowers.

Under the promotion, all customers will enjoy the Platinum Rate on interest, with documentation charges reduced by 50%. Borrowers taking loans for construction purposes can also benefit from discounts of up to 40% on building materials, bathroom fittings, hardware items and more, from selected suppliers.

ComBank Home Loans can be obtained for the purchase of land, a house, or condominium apartment; for construction, renovation, extension, or completion of a home; or to settle an existing home loan from another financial institution. Loans are offered up to Rs 50 million depending on need, income, and repayment capacity, with higher amounts considered at the Bank’s discretion, the Bank said.

Foreign Currency Home Loans are also on offer for Sri Lankans working overseas, PR Holders and Dual Citizens who can repay in foreign currency.

The Bank said approval will be granted within three working days of receiving all required documents, and funds disbursed within 14 days under the Bank’s Speed Home Loan scheme. Borrowers who are first-time home builders or buyers will also receive free Decreasing Term Assurance Policy (DTAP) cover, ensuring their loans are protected against unforeseen events.

Customers may choose from several repayment options, including Step Up Home Loans, where instalments start lower and gradually increase in line with income; Residual Home Loans, where part of the capital is repaid during the tenure and the balance settled later; or loans with a grace period of up to five years for professionals and high net worth individuals. These flexible plans enable larger loan amounts for those whose repayment capacity may not meet traditional lending criteria under Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) or Reducing Balance Method (RBM) schemes, the Bank said.

Commenting on the launch of this campaign, Commercial Bank Deputy General Manager – Personal Banking Mr S. Ganeshan said: “The Home Loans Fiesta is about removing barriers and opening doors to home ownership without compromising on financial stability. By offering the lowest market rates, faster processing, significant cost savings, and customised repayment solutions, we are making it possible for more customers to take that important step towards securing their own home.”
