Nature meets flavour and creativity at the newly opened The BLAC café at Colombo 03

The BLAC -home of the nature-inspired café concept- is now in Colombo 3, and celebrating the opening of its 2nd outlet in Colombo. 

Located at the heart of one of Colombo’s most prestigious and liveliest addresses, The BLAC’s proprietors conceived the new space as a response to the needs of Colombo’s growing creative community, while also acknowledging the powerful effect of centering nature for stimulating relaxation and unlocking creative potential.

Be it a lazy Sunday brunch outdoors under the shade of lush-green flora, a team meeting in a fully equipped board room, a refined space to film a lifestyle program or a glamorous background for a fashion shoot, a special date night in an elegant indoor setting, or even an intimate family celebration in a private lounge; The BLAC has managed to curate a space that caters to absolutely everyone.  

The new cafe also allows The BLAC to extend the quality dining experience it has come to be known for, with a menu that now spans coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week. Signature dishes include the Jaffna Curry Kottu and Chu Chee Prawns, while must-tries from the beverage offering are the Caramel Macchiato and Chocolate Shake.

With careful thought put into every nook and corner, the new outlet features a sleek-minimalistic yet inviting indoor dining area, as well as verdant outdoor seating spaces: the open-air Garden café offers patrons a tranquil and lush natural sanctuary far removed from the bustle of the city, and The Glasshouse, a visually distinctive space with overhead glass, powered by natural light during the day and a starlit ambience by night.

The space also offers a fully-equipped Boardroom, designed for business meetings, workshops, and presentations, a Lounge to serve as a private space for intimate celebrations and dining experiences, as well as a Content Space that serves as a shoot-ready environment perfect for photography, videography, and brand content production.

With its newest outlet on Bagatelle Rd., The BLAC aims to steer away from traditional café culture, and indiscriminately provide a refined yet accessible and adaptable environment that offers comfort, connection, and creative flexibility – all within one stunning, nature-centred space.
