Hayleys Mobility and Kaiyi Auto Introduce the Affordable and Fully Electric Kaiyi eVibe to Sri Lanka

  • Available in a range of colours, with customisable options to suit individual preferences
  • Complimentary 3kW solar system for the first 100 customers

Hayleys Mobility Limited, the mobility arm of Hayleys Fentons Limited, has entered a strategic partnership with Kaiyi Auto, a rapidly expanding Chinese state-backed automotive manufacturer. This collaboration marks a significant expansion of Hayleys Mobility’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio and positions the company at the forefront of delivering sustainable, technology-driven mobility solutions to the Sri Lankan market.

Through this partnership, Hayleys Mobility introduces the Kaiyi eVibe, a contemporary sub-compact electric hatchback. Originally known as the Kaiyi E-Qute 04, the model has been rebranded as Kaiyi eVibe specifically to establish a unique local identity.

Priced at an introductory Rs. 7.9 million, the eVibe comes with a limited launch benefit where the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary 3kW solar system, enabling owners to further reduce energy costs while supporting cleaner, more sustainable mobility. The eVibe delivers a 300 km CLTC-certified range, making it a practical and cost-efficient solution for daily city and suburban travel. As a fully electric, zero-emission vehicle, the eVibe offers a compelling option for families and corporate entities eager to reduce their carbon footprint and align with the global environmental movement.

Reflecting Kaiyi’s emphasis on intelligent engineering and user-centric design, the eVibe is equipped with a 360-degree surround-view camera to enhance driver confidence and a 30-minute fast-charging capability for maximum convenience. A premium six-speaker audio system featuring seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity integrates the driver’s digital lifestyle with an intuitive infotainment interface. Despite its accessible price point, Kaiyi Auto maintains a rigorous focus on innovation through partnerships with global leaders like CATL for advanced battery solutions, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Kaiyi Auto has expanded its international footprint across more than 30 countries and regions, including the Middle East, Russia, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. Recognised for delivering affordable yet stylish and technologically advanced vehicles, the brand resonates strongly with younger drivers and value-conscious families worldwide.

The Kaiyi eVibe is available in a refined palette of standard colours, including White, Royal Silver, Moonstone, Aqua Frost, and Silver Pink. For customers seeking a more distinctive aesthetic, optional shades include Lemon Yellow, Blue Pearl, Lime Green, Orange Red, Calypso Red, and Cockney Brown, enabling owners to personalise the vehicle to reflect their individual style.

The eVibe is currently on display at the Kaiyi showroom, No. 75 Arnold Ratnayake Mawatha, Colombo 01.
