Expressway revenue tops Rs. 441 million during New Year travel

The Road Development Authority announced that expressway revenue exceeded Rs. 441 million during the New Year travel period from 10 to 18 April.

A total of 1,170,830 vehicles used the expressway network during this period, according to RDA Director General Anuradha Hettiarachchi.

Revenue was generated from the Southern, Colombo Outer Circular, Colombo–Katunayake and Central expressways.

Authorities noted a significant increase in expressway usage during the festive period, contributing to higher revenue collection.
