AA Japan, a leader in global vehicle exports, commences business operations in Sri Lanka

AA Japan (Private) Limited, a pioneer in the used Japanese vehicle export business for over thirty years, recently opened its first office in Sri Lanka.

With Sri Lanka recently reopening its vehicle import market, AA Japan Limited exported over 6,000 vehicles to the country and has created a high demand for their vehicles from Sri Lankan buyers. The company currently exports over 18,000 used Japanese vehicles annually to over 80 countries and the demand generated across Sri Lanka is a testament to its success.

Started in Tokyo in 1996 by Mr. Hamid Ramzan to support his family’s vehicle trading business, AA Japan Limited has now become a leading name in the used Japanese vehicle export business.

Previously, communication between buyers and the company was done using remote communication methods, but with the establishment of the new office, the company will be able to provide face-to-face services and share its local knowledge. Moreover, buyers will have the opportunity to visit the new office and get solutions for all their vehicle needs in the language of their choice (out of the three main languages).

AA Japan completes all the steps related to vehicle import from Japan, from the moment the buyer selects the vehicle, to providing accurate prices, coordinating shipping, preparing documents, inspecting the vehicle and providing after-sales advisory services. For many customers, importing a vehicle from another country is a very complex and risky task. AA Japan offers customers the opportunity to import the vehicle of their choice with ease by removing that complexity and risk.

Over the past several years, we have observed high demand for our vehicles among Sri Lankan buyers. That customer trust was the background for opening our office in Sri Lanka. We wanted to provide the same level of service that we provide to customers in other countries around the world to Sri Lankan customers. With a local workforce, we are also able to provide our services to customers more quickly. Our goal is to go beyond just selling vehicles and build strong customer relationships,” said Hameed Ramzan, Founder and Chairman of AA Japan.

AA Japan acquires vehicles directly from auction houses in Japan and also manages its own vehicle fleet. The company provides its services to individual buyers as well as business entities such as vehicle dealers, construction companies, and transportation companies. AA Japan has been able to gain such broad customer trust since its inception by conducting formal quality checks before exporting vehicles.

In addition, the company also expects to introduce new digital technology devices to further modernize the vehicle buying experience. In addition to Sri Lanka, the company has also taken steps to establish offices in Kenya, Australia, Botswana, the Philippines, Thailand and Chile.
