With the dawning of the winter season Russia’s Azur Air relaunched its flights from Moscow to Katunayake Airport yesterday after a long layoff.
The Boeing 767 flight carried 332 passengers and 10 crew members. The Airport Aviation provided the airlie with traditional water salute as well. Their flights will originate from major Russian cities like Venukov, St. Petersburg, Krasnosky, Sochi and Novosibirsk cities, said Country Manager Sri Lanka, Azur Air, Morris De Silva. “The winter schedule of the airplane will operate till the end April 2025.”
The visiting Russian passengers were given a warm welcome at the airport by senior officials of Sri Lanka Tourism.
