Sri Lankan javelin thrower Rumesh Tharanga has climbed to fifth place in the men's javelin throw world rankings.
Tharanga moved up two positions with an average performance score of 1,287 following recent international performances.
The ranking boost comes after he won silver at the Rabat Diamond League with a throw of 85.97 metres. Julian Weber remains world No. 1, while Neeraj Chopra is ranked fourth.
