31The All Ceylon Restaurant Owners’ Association has announced that the prices of several food items will be increased starting from midnight today (31), in response to the recent electricity tariff hike.
According to the association, the price of rice packets and ‘Kottu’ will be increased by Rs. 30. Short eats will see a rise of Rs. 10, while the prices of milk tea and plain tea will go up by Rs. 5.
Restaurant owners cited the electricity tariff increase as a key factor influencing the need for these price adjustments, aiming to offset the higher operational costs
