DFCC Bank PLC, under its Garusaru proposition for senior citizens and in collaboration with the Department of Pensions, has introduced a simplified biometric process that enables eligible government pensioners to complete their annual Life Certificate verification using fingerprint authentication at 50 selected DFCC Bank branches islandwide.
The service is available to government pensioners who retired after 2016 and have already registered their fingerprints with the Department of Pensions. It eliminates the need to visit Divisional Secretariat or Grama Niladhari offices, allowing pensioners to fulfil this mandatory requirement directly at a participating DFCC Bank branch.
By enabling fingerprint verification at branch level, DFCC Bank has streamlined a recurring administrative process while strengthening the accuracy and integrity of identity verification. The initiative is particularly beneficial for senior citizens who may find repeated travel and paperwork challenging.
In addition to improving convenience, biometric authentication supports more accurate and timely updates to pension records, contributing to greater reliability across the national pension system.
This service is delivered under DFCC Bank’s Garusaru proposition, which focuses on providing practical, respectful, and relevant solutions tailored to the needs of senior citizens.
Eligible pensioners may visit any of the selected DFCC Bank branches offering this service. Details on branch locations and eligibility requirements are available at www.dfcc.lk.
