CINEC Celebrates 1,800 Graduates and Announces Open Day 2026

CINEC Campus Sri Lanka, one of the pioneering non-state institutions in the country, recently hosted its 2025 Graduation Ceremony at BMICH, recognising over 1,800 graduates from across its academic departments. Delivered through multiple sessions to ensure smooth coordination for students and families, the event reinforced CINEC’s role as a leading provider of higher education in the country. Building on this milestone, CINEC will hold its Open Day 2026 on 24 January 2026 at its Malabe campus, starting at 9am, offering prospective students structured guidance on programme options, career pathways, admissions, and facilities - underscoring the institution’s commitment to expanding access to quality tertiary education.

The Graduation Ceremony marked one of CINEC’s largest convocations to date, reflecting the scale of its academic ecosystem across maritime sciences, engineering, computing, management, aviation, health sciences, education, and industrial disciplines. 

Speaking with Senior Consultant, CINEC Campus Pvt Ltd - Admiral Thisara Smarasinghe, noted: “Our graduation and Open Day reflect the scale, capability, and forward direction of CINEC. We continue to invest in facilities, industry-driven programmes, and student support structures that enable Sri Lankan students to pursue competitive higher-education and career opportunities both locally and internationally.”

The Open Day 2026 will showcase more than 200 locally and internationally recognised programmes, opportunities for post-A/L and pending-result students, and pathways for international transfers. Visitors will be able to meet faculty representatives directly, learn about student services and banking partners, and explore CINEC’s world-class facilities - including marine and bridge simulators, science and health laboratories, its high-end IT infrastructure, Lear Jet Aircraft, ship in Campus and sports amenities. A shuttle service from Malabe will be available for the students and parents, with financial concessions offered for on the spot registrations.
