Indian Army Engineer Task Force departs Sri Lanka after bridge reconstruction

Engineer Task Force of the Indian Army has left Sri Lanka after completing reconstruction work following Cyclone Ditwah.

The team arrived on 3 December under Operation Sagar Bandhu and departed yesterday (25) on an Indian Air Force aircraft.

During nearly six months, the unit assessed damaged bridge sites and completed seven bridges across the country.

They also provided engineering support to the Road Development Authority (RDA).
