Sri Lanka’s leading data centre cooling specialist Arctic (Pvt.) Ltd was awarded the Best Thermal Solutions Partner for Sri Lanka by Vertiv Co., the global leader in precision air conditioning systems.
The award was presented at Vertiv’s recently held Annual Partner Sales Conference in Dubai, recognising Arctic’s invaluable contributions to the data centre industry in Sri Lanka.
Arctic has been Vertiv’s sole authorised partner for over three decades, promoting Liebert precision air conditioning systems in Sri Lanka.
Arctic Director Chamila Premaratne participated in the Dubai event and received the award on behalf of the Arctic team.
Premaratne started his career at Arctic as an engineer, growing to the current position as Director, having vast experience in implementation of thermal solutions, adhering to world-class international standards across multiple critical data centres in Sri Lanka.
“We are delighted to have been bestowed this award by Vertiv, recognising our skills and commitment to providing state-of-the-art thermal cooling systems to critical installations such as data centres, which are the backbone of many 24x7 business operations, including banks in Sri Lanka. We have successfully installed over 1000 precision air conditioning systems across Sri Lanka to cool the country’s most critical data centres, since our inception in 1985. I also would like to thank Vertiv for its continued support through thick and thin, especially during the COVID period,” said Premaratne.
“We expect that in the next few years, Sri Lanka will transform into a data-driven digital economy that will cater to domestic and international consumers. With the advancement of AI, all aspects of society will become more data-driven, resulting in the expansion of data centres across the globe, with new trends such as liquid cooling, which are set to create new benchmarks in the data centre industry,” he added.
“We continue to be committed to working with Arctic in Sri Lanka. Our collaboration aligns with our mission to deliver high-quality products combined with Arctic’s high-quality service and support to our customers, thereby ensuring seamless operations and reliability,” mentioned Vertiv Director International Business Reginald Borges.
Arctic Chairman Aravinda Amarasinghe and Director, the late A.K. Hemakumara, played a critical role in paving the way for the company to be accepted as the industry leader it is today.
