WindForce Secures Letter of Award for 50 MW Mullikulam Wind Power Project – Lot 1

WindForce PLC has been awarded the official Letter of Award by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for Lot 1 of the 50 MW Mullikulam Wind Power Project, confirming WindForce’s position as the Lowest Cost Bidder for one of Sri Lanka’s most strategically significant renewable energy developments.

The award follows the successful completion of all statutory and regulatory approvals, including clearance from the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee (CANC), the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL)—underscoring the robustness, transparency, and credibility of the national procurement process.

Located in the high-potential wind corridor of the Mannar region, the Mullikulam Wind Power Project will make a substantial contribution to Sri Lanka’s renewable energy capacity. The project directly supports national objectives to scale up clean energy generation, strengthen energy security, and reduce dependence on fossil-fuel-based power.

This milestone further strengthens WindForce’s growing portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy assets and reinforces the company’s leadership role in Sri Lanka’s energy transition. WindForce remains firmly committed to delivering cost-competitive, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions, while upholding the highest standards of governance, regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and long-term stakeholder value creation.

As Sri Lanka accelerates its transition to a low-carbon energy future, landmark projects such as Mullikulam play a pivotal role in driving economic resilience, infrastructure development, and sustainable growth—while reinforcing investor and public confidence in competitive, value-driven renewable energy procurement.
