Beruwala Resorts PLC has informed the Colombo Stock Exchange of the temporary closure of its flagship property, The Palms Hotel Beruwala, to facilitate refurbishment and operational upgrades.
The hotel was closed on May 1, 2026, and is scheduled to remain shut until August 30, 2026.
The company stated that the upgrades are aimed at enhancing guest experience and maintaining service standards. The Board of Directors noted that the decision has been carefully evaluated and is not expected to have a material impact on the company’s long-term performance.
During the closure period, the company will implement cost management measures to maintain financial stability.
The hotel is expected to resume operations on September 1, 2026.
