The first four-star property to Moratuwa and Panadura area, Ramadia Grand opens in Moratuwa
Pinning the first four-star property to the Moratuwa and Panadura area, the Ramadia Grand Hotel, Moratuwa, opened its doors in the heart of the city, redefining elegance and world-class hospitality. The developer and Chairman of the Rodesha Group, the owning company of Ramadia hotels, including the newly launched Ramadia Grand and the existing Ramadia Ran Mal Resort, Rohan Fernando, stated that although there are many tourism hotspots in the area, it lacked foreign guests seeking long-term accommodation. “This is why I invested in this 50-room luxury four-star class property, which is the biggest hotel in the region.” The Ramadia Grand Hotel also offered the biggest banquet hall in the region, which could accommodate over 1500 guests. Built as a pillarless hall and installed with modern lighting, it is an ideal MICE venue as well. It can also be converted to three halls with each could accommodate around 500 guests. He also said it has five suites and is the only rooftop swimming pool in the area. The hotel features 11 floors and includes unique amenities like a rooftop restaurant that could accommodate 100 guests and a nightclub with breathtaking views of both the sea and lagoon. The hotel also organisers many excursions to nearby places of interest and also offers dining in the lagoon on Ran Mal-owned yachts. Fernando said that he will also provide employment opportunities for over 160 people in this new hotel. “We have already marketed this property globally through travel agents, and we are happy with the forward bookings we received. This hotel is more than just a luxury property — it's a catalyst for regional tourism. We are proud to help position Moratuwa as a destination capable of attracting high-end international travelers,” he added.
