Sri Lanka U-18 Rugby team heads to Malaysia

A 14-member Sri Lanka Under-18 rugby team, captained by Vishenka Silva from St. Peter’s College, departed for Malaysia to compete in the Asia Rugby Emirates Under-18 Sevens Tournament to be held in Bahru, Malaysia, on September 28 and 29.

This talented squad features some of the top Under-18 players who shone in the recent school rugby season. The team will be vice-captained by Thrinethra Dodangoda from Isipathana College.

Sri Lanka will face strong competition from several countries, including the host nation Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, India, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and Brunei.
