Sri Lanka rupee flat, bond yields steady.

Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted at 315.50/75 to the US dollar in the spot market Wednesday, weaker from 315.50/60 on Friday before the long holiday weekend, dealers said, while bond yields opened broadly steady.

An auction of 90,000 million rupees Treasury bills was ongoing.

A bond maturing on 15.06.2029 was quoted at 9.90/10.00 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 was quoted at 9.95/10.05 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.10.2029 was quoted at 9.95/10.05 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2029 was quoted at 10.00/10 percent, up from 10.00/05 percent.

A bond maturing on 01.07.2030 was quoted at 10.12/15 percent.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2032 was quoted at 10.75/90 percent.

The telegraphic transfer rates for the American dollar were 312.0500 buying, 319.0500 selling; the British pound was 422.5138 buying, and 433.8172 selling, and the euro was 365.6779 buying, 377.0973 selling.

On the Colombo Stock Exchange the All Share Price Index was trending up 0.25 percent, 54.83 points, at 22,183.49; while the S&P SL20 was up 0.23 percent, or 14.05 points, at 6,166.78.
