Omega Line, one of Sri Lanka’s largest apparel exporters to Europe, operating under the Oniverse umbrella (formerly Calzedonia), proudly announced that four of its employees have been honoured at the CPM Sri Lanka Management Leadership Excellence Awards 2025, further cementing its reputation for cultivating outstanding leadership within the apparel sector.

Notably, Sampath Weerakoon, Chief HR Officer – Operations, not only emerged winner in the Apparel & Garment Sector – Corporate Management Level but also distinguished himself at a national level by clinching the Overall Bronze Award. This accolade builds on his recent recognition among the Top Most HR Leaders in Asia at the 20th Employer Branding Awards, reaffirming his role as a visionary people strategist not just in apparel, but in Sri Lanka’s wider corporate leadership landscape.

His win is also a reflection of Omega Line’s deep-rooted commitment to cultivating leaders who drive innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable growth, values that continue to strengthen the company’s reputation as one of Sri Lanka’s most people-focused apparel exporters.

Meanwhile, Kanishka Weerasinghe, AGM – Production emerged as first runner-up, while Damien Lekamge, AGM – Production and Charman Dep, AGM – Production Planning were both awarded second runner-up in the same category.

These recognitions highlight Omega Line’s culture of continuous development, where leadership is nurtured at every level to deliver strategic vision, inspire teams, and drive innovation. The achievements also align closely with the values promoted by CPM Sri Lanka, which honours business leaders who effectively transform vision into reality and demonstrate managerial excellence, innovation, and community service.

Employee welfare is a cornerstone of its strategy, with staff benefiting from free medical care, affordable transportation, subsidised meals, and recreational amenities including gyms and sports courts. Omega Line also fosters work-life balance and gender empowerment, with women forming the majority of its workforce.
