Managing Director of Ceylon Pharma College Dilip Fonseka unveils inspiring book at International Award Meet in New Delhi, India

Dilip Fonseka, the visionary Managing Director of Ceylon Pharma College and a trailblazer in pharmacy education, unveiled his latest book, 'Rising Above Challenges for Success', at a prestigious Book Launching Ceremony during the International Award Meet 2024. The event, held on 21 December, 2024, at the Crowne Plaza in Mayur Vihar, New Delhi, India, was graced by an eminent gathering of professionals and educators from across the globe. The book offers an introspective look into Fonseka’s journey, detailing the challenges he overcame and how he transformed challenges into doors for success. It serves as a guide for educators, students, and professionals, particularly those in the pharmaceutical sector, inspiring them to achieve growth through innovation, resilience, and dedication.

With extensive experience as a government pharmacist, Fonseka has emerged as a transformative leader in pharmacy education. In 2020, he founded Ceylon Pharma College, which has since become a premier institution in Sri Lanka. As a Lecturer, he has mentored over 1,600 aspiring professionals, equipping them with essential skills to excel in the pharmaceutical field. Under his visionary leadership, the College has achieved significant milestones, including the graduation of 23 batches and the recognition as Sri Lanka’s Best Pharmaceutical Training and Education Institute. In appreciation of his contributions, he was honoured with the "Revolutionary Thinker in Pharmacy and Education" award at Asia’s Icon Awards and the "Asia’s Innovative Thinker" title at Asia Awards in 2024. His influence as a thought leader has also earned him the prestigious International Achievers Award 2024 in the category of Most Iconic Role as Motivational Think Tank of the Year. Ceylon Pharma College is known for its innovative and flexible educational offerings, including four study programmes such as Professional Pharmacy Practice and Advanced Pharmacy Practice. These programmes cater to diverse needs, from preparing students for pharmacist licensing exams to training healthcare professionals for international roles.
