ComBank and Tantri Trailers to promote Green Financing for renewable energy solutions
The Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tantri Energy, a subsidiary of Tantri Trailers (Pvt) Ltd., to promote the adoption of renewable energy solutions through the Bank’s Green Loans and Green Leases.
The agreement aims to offer attractive financing options to employed and self-employed customers seeking to invest in sustainable energy systems, particularly solar power.
This partnership enables customers to obtain financing from Commercial Bank at preferential interest rates for a period of up to seven years. The Bank offers Green Loans and Green Leases to part finance the purchase cost of solar panels as well as other equipment related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, emission reduction, water and wastewater management, and waste management, energy-efficient household appliances and lighting systems.
The promotion will run until 31st May 2026, and is part of Commercial Bank’s broader efforts to promote environmentally responsible practices among its customer base. The Bank's green financing products are designed to make sustainable choices more accessible and affordable for Sri Lankan households and businesses.
Customers who choose to install solar solutions via Tantri Energy will also be benefited by an industry-leading warranty package, a 30-year performance warranty on solar photovoltaic panels, 10-year manufacturer’s product warranties on both the panels and inverter, and a comprehensive 3-year full system warranty.
