This is the question that Colombo Business Analytics Forum (CBA Forum) 2026 sets out to explore.

Organised by the Department of Decision Sciences, Faculty of Business, University of Moratuwa, the Colombo Business Analytics Forum 2026 returns for its third consecutive year as a platform connecting industry leaders, business decision-makers, analytics professionals, academics and students.

With 80+ participating companies and 200+ company representatives expected, the Forum brings together organisations at different stages of their analytics and AI journey, creating a space to exchange knowledge, share real-world experiences and explore practical approaches to business transformation.

Through keynote insights, interactive sessions, a panel discussion, partner presentations, industry discussions and networking, CBA Forum aims to encourage meaningful conversations on how analytics and AI can move from emerging technologies to practical business solutions.

The Forum also serves as a collaborative hub, enabling networking across diverse industry sectors, knowledge sharing, exploring new partnerships and building long-term conversations around the future of AI, analytics and business transformation.

This year’s theme, ‘AI to ROI: Unlocking Value Beyond Intelligence’, reflects the growing need for businesses to move beyond experimenting with AI and focus on measurable outcomes.

The journey is explored through three pillars: Innovate with AI and automation, Enable with trusted data, governance and responsible AI, and Transform through people, leadership and human-AI collaboration, all working towards delivering meaningful ROI.

The experience will extend beyond the main Forum through Pre-Forum Week, took place from October 5-21.

The activities gave participants opportunities to engage with key ideas around analytics, AI and digital transformation, while building anticipation and encouraging fresh perspectives on emerging technologies.

A major highlight of CBA Forum 2026 was the presence of Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya as a special invitee. Bringing his extensive experience in technology and digital transformation, Dr. Hans added valuable industry perspective to the Forum’s central conversation on how businesses can move from AI adoption towards meaningful business value. His keynote offered participants practical insights into the opportunities, challenges and future direction of AI-driven transformation.

For industry participants, it provided a platform to exchange ideas, explore practical AI and analytics solutions, develop new partnerships and build valuable professional connections across diverse sectors.
