Tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka continue to maintain momentum, with over 115,000 visitors entering the country within the first 13 days of February.
Provisional data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) shows that the island nation welcomed a total of 115,043 international visitors, reflecting a 16.8 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to the same period last year.
As a result, year-to-date arrivals have reached 367,804. The daily average arrival for February has risen to 8,850, while the weekly average stands at approximately 57,500.
India continues to lead as the largest source of tourist traffic to Sri Lanka, accounting for 13.9 percent of total arrivals.
The Russian Federation ranks second, contributing 12.4 percent, while the United Kingdom holds the third spot, with 11.2 percent. Germany and France are also among the top five source markets, while China has dropped to sixth position.
