The Sri Lanka-Pakistan Business Council (SLPBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce successfully hosted a B2B meeting with a pharmaceutical business delegation from Pakistan recently, at Hilton Colombo Residencies.
The delegation comprised 16 leading pharmaceutical companies from Pakistan, along with key state sector institutions, including the Export Development Board, Board of Investment and High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka. The event also saw the participation of leading Sri Lankan corporate representatives.
The session was graced by Major General (R) Faheem Ul Aziz, HI (M), Mahwash Sami, Trade and Investment Attaché of the High Commission of Pakistan in Colombo and other distinguished High Commission staff. The delegation was led by Yasin Joiya, Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Lahore.
The B2B session provided a valuable platform for participants to engage in one-on-one discussions, exploring investment opportunities, joint ventures and collaborations in the pharmaceutical sector.
In his address, SLPBC President Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksha emphasised the importance of exchange delegations and maintaining close business ties between the two countries. He highlighted the need for consistent engagement in trade and investment to unlock the full potential of the Sri Lanka-Pakistan partnership.
The SLPBC remains committed to fostering stronger trade, investment and economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, paving the way for new business opportunities and strengthening bilateral ties.
