Sri Lanka’s digital marketing fraternity came together on 22 September 2026 at Monarch Imperial, Colombo, for the grand finale of SLIM DIGIS 2.6, celebrating the brands, agencies, campaigns and professionals behind some of the country’s most impactful digital work.
Held under the theme ‘Mission to Extraordinary’, this year’s awards brought together more than 550 entries, making it the highest participation recorded for SLIM DIGIS. The scale of participation reflected the growing competitiveness of the industry, with brands and agencies showcasing work driven by creativity, strategic thinking, technology, innovation and measurable impact.
The entries were evaluated by a panel of more than 70 industry experts led by Shalendra Mendis, Head of Jury, SLIM DIGIS 2.6. The jury brought together experienced professionals from marketing, advertising, digital, business, technology and creative fields to recognise work that demonstrated excellence and meaningful results.
A significant milestone of this year’s edition was the opening of SLIM DIGIS to international participants for the first time. This expanded the scope of the awards and provided an opportunity for Sri Lankan digital talent to be showcased alongside international work, supporting SLIM DIGIS’ ambition to take local digital excellence to the global stage.
Mr. Sandun Hapugoda, Chief Guest and Country Manager, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, Mastercard, said, “Digital transformation is reshaping how businesses connect with consumers, create value and compete in an increasingly connected world. SLIM DIGIS 2.6 provides an important platform to recognise the talent and innovation driving this transformation in Sri Lanka. The scale and quality of participation demonstrate the strength of the country’s digital marketing ecosystem and its potential to engage with global opportunities.”
“SLIM DIGIS 2.6 represents more than the successful conclusion of another awards cycle. It reflects the growing maturity, creativity and capability of Sri Lanka’s digital marketing industry. With more than 550 entries and, for the first time, participation from international markets, we have taken an important step towards creating a platform that can benchmark Sri Lankan talent against global standards. As SLIM, our ambition is clear — to create greater opportunities for our marketers, brands and ideas to move beyond our borders and contribute to a stronger global presence for Sri Lankan marketing,” said Enoch Perera, President, Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.
“Digital has moved far beyond being simply another communication channel. SLIM DIGIS 2.6 has provided an important platform to recognise those turning digital possibilities into meaningful impact. The participation this year made the finale a fitting celebration of the creativity, energy and achievements of Sri Lanka’s digital community,” said Rajiv David, Vice President, Events and Sustainability, SLIM.
“Serving as Head of Jury at SLIM DIGIS 2.6, I had the honour of steering a panel of more than 70 industry experts through 550+ entries. The work reflected the ambition of an evolving industry, with strong examples of creativity, strategy, technology and meaningful connections between brands and people. The quality of the work has raised the benchmark for Sri Lankan marketing,” said Shalendra Mendis, Head of Jury, SLIM DIGIS 2.6.
“‘Mission to Extraordinary’ represented our ambition to take SLIM DIGIS and Sri Lanka’s digital marketing industry to the next level. Opening the platform to international participants for the first time has set a new benchmark for the awards and the industry. With more than 550 entries, we hope this is the beginning of a journey that takes Sri Lankan digital excellence to the global stage,” said Sirimevan Seneviratne, Project Chair, SLIM DIGIS 2.6.
