The Department for the Registration of Persons has announced that the issuance of National Identity Cards (NICs), which had been temporarily suspended, resumed from yesterday (20). Accordingly, all public services, including the one-day service, were operational from yesterday.
These services had been suspended since 17 April due to a sudden breakdown in its computer system. Following the completion of the technical rectifications, all affected services have now been restored and are available to the public.
