Mahinda Club Hosts ‘UNI Night 26’: Celebrating Brotherhood, Inspiring Young Alumni and Building a Stronger Future

Mahinda Club, the alumni association of Mahinda College, Galle, successfully hosted ‘UNI Night 26’ at the Solius Hotel premises in Pitakotte, bringing together distinguished alumni and young Mahindians pursuing higher education at universities and tertiary institutions across Sri Lanka. Organised for the first time, the event marked a significant milestone in strengthening alumni relationships, inspiring the next generation and encouraging greater youth participation in the future development of their alma mater.

More than a social gathering, ‘UNI Night 26’ was designed to bridge generations of Mahindians through fellowship, knowledge-sharing and meaningful engagement. By connecting university students with accomplished alumni and professionals, the initiative created a valuable platform for exchanging experiences, building networks and fostering a shared commitment to the continued progress of Mahinda College.

The occasion was graced by two distinguished Mahindians as Chief Guests: Professor Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama, Chairman of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority, and Mr. Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy.

With a strong focus on personal growth and future aspirations, ‘UNI Night 26’ featured a series of motivational talks addressing personal success, goal setting and the importance of purposeful development. These sessions offered young participants valuable insights and inspiration as they prepare for their future academic and professional journeys.

The programme also provided university students with opportunities to express their views and interact directly with speakers and senior alumni.
