JAT Holdings PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading provider of wood coatings, has announced its sponsorship of the Prince of Wales College cricket team, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and youth development. This partnership extends to the renowned Battle of the Golds—the historic Big Match between Prince of Wales College and St. Sebastian’s College, one of Sri Lanka’s longest-running school cricket rivalries which will be played from February 28, March 1,2 at De Soyza Stadium Moratuwa .
This year’s encounter is further elevated with the introduction of the “Founders Trophy” – Hon. Charles Henry De Soya & Rev. Fr. Bondani Memorial Challenge Trophy, marking a new milestone in the rich history of this legendary match.
The Battle of the Golds has been an integral part of Moratuwa’s sporting culture since its inception in 1933. As the teams prepare to face off for the 75th time at the Tyronne Fernando Stadium.
