Chinese Defence Attaché meets Sri Lanka’s Defence Secretary

Senior Colonel Fu Xiao, the newly appointed Defence Attaché of the People's Republic of China Embassy in Sri Lanka, met with Defence Secretary Sampath Thuyacontha at the Ministry of Defence on 4 June.

The meeting was a courtesy visit following Fu Xiao's appointment.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and issues related to defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and China.

The Deputy Defence Attaché and Naval Attaché of the Chinese Embassy also attended the meeting.
