Charles Sturt University is expanding its international presence with a new campus in Sri Lanka, opening doors for students to access globally recognised Australian qualifications closer to home. The campus will be delivered in partnership with Prospects Education. Students will initially be offered courses in business and early childhood education, with disciplines such as information technology, psychology, engineering and health earmarked for future expansion. The first intake of students is expected in the second half of 2026.
Charles Sturt University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Renée Leon, said the new campus reflects the University’s commitment to making world-class education more accessible globally. “We are excited to bring Charles Sturt’s expertise in teaching and research to students in Sri Lanka.” She added, “This campus will provide students with the chance to gain internationally recognised qualifications and open doors to career opportunities, while studying in their own country.”
Students in Sri Lanka will be given opportunities to connect with Charles Sturt’s academic and research networks worldwide.
