Ceylinco Life has announced that A.I.P. Manjula of the Company’s Ambalantota branch was among the three global finalists for the prestigious Insurance Agent of the Year award at the 11th Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards (ATLAA) 2026, bringing recognition for Sri Lankan insurance excellence to one of the region’s most respected platforms for life insurance and financial advisory professionals.
For Ceylinco Life, the recognition reflects the calibre and customer-focused approach of its agency force, while for Manjula it represents a significant personal achievement on the regional stage, with acknowledgment of his dedication, professionalism and commitment to putting customers first, the Company said. The ATLAA programme recognises high-performing professionals who demonstrate exceptional standards of competence, client trust and commitment to the interests of policyholders.
The ATLAA 2026 attracted nominations from across South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific region, including markets such as Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Macau, Japan and South Korea.
“Manjula’s achievement in being selected one of the three finalists represents a significant recognition of Sri Lankan insurance professionalism within a highly competitive regional field, and reinforces the value of placing customers and their long-term interests at the heart of insurance advisory,” the Company added.
Organised jointly by Asia Advisers Network (AAN) and Asia Insurance Review (AIR), with LIMRA as a co-organiser, the awards are decided by an independent judging and balloting process monitored by KPMG as the official scrutineer, while the judging panel comprised more than a dozen CEOs, senior life insurance executives, association presidents and subject-matter experts from across the Asia-Pacific region.
Importantly, the Insurance Agent of the Year award is assessed on a balanced set of criteria extending beyond sales production. These include consistent production benchmarks, ethics, client-centric service, policy persistency, digital adoption and innovative practice management, as well as contributions to the agency, the wider insurance industry and the community through CSR initiatives.
Ranked Sri Lanka’s most valuable insurance brand in the 2026 Brand Finance ranking of the country’s 100 Most Valuable Brands, Ceylinco Life was also voted the ‘Peoples Life Insurance Service Provider of the Year’ for an unprecedented 20th consecutive year at the 2026 SLIM Kantar Peoples Awards. The Company, which has been recognised as the Best Life Insurer in Sri Lanka by World Finance for 12 consecutive years, offers innovative insurance solutions that protect and de-risk the ambitions of millions of policyholders and their family members.
