AIA Insurance and WCIC Platinum Sponsor for ‘Prathibhabhisheka’ awards

AIA Insurance recently joined hands with Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce (WCIC) as the Platinum Sponsor for ‘Prathibhabhisheka’ Women Entrepreneur Awards for the third consecutive year.

AIA Insurance together with WCIC in recognising and promoting the role women play in driving economic growth in this flagship event that celebrates the remarkable achievements of women entrepreneurs that aim to inspire the next generation of female leaders.

This year, the event was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya as Chief Guest and US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung as Guest of Honour. As the Platinum Sponsor, the AIA team, including Chathuri Munaweera, Director/CEO of AIA Insurance, Chanaka Liyanage, Chief Agency Officer Senaka Rajapakse, Chief Partnership Distribution Officer and Sampath Thushara, Chief Financial Officer, with some of AIA’s top-performing female Wealth Planners, were part of the special evening honouring the excellence of women entrepreneurs.

AIA Sri Lanka believes that every Wealth Planner is essentially an entrepreneur in their own right. In a traditionally male-dominated field like insurance sales, AIA is breaking barriers by actively recruiting and providing career advancement opportunities for women. Today, AIA has achieved a 51% female representation in the sales force, with 43% of them ranking among the top 100 high performing Wealth Planners, responsible for generating over half of the business’s revenue.
