“Businesses need to adopt fast to new technology such as AI”

A lot of the corporates are not ready to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) , said Executive Vice President / Group CIO of John Keells Holdings PLC & Director /CEO of John Keells IT Ramesh Shanmuganathan. He mentioned this at an event organized by Salesforce in Colombo yesterday.

Shanmuganathan also said that most of the organizations are still grappling with transactional dominance in dominion getting their ERPs, fundamental transactions in order. None of the corporations are ready to adopt and maturity has to be evolved. The process of transforming into AI is a gradual phase.

“From zero, you can’t go to hundred at once. That should be done in gradual steps and I feel that the corporates have to probably understand that and shift gear faster.” Ramesh added.
