YETI Isotonic Powers Negombo Rifle Club

  • Official Hydration Partner at Sharpshooter 2026

YETI Isotonic partnered with the Negombo Rifle Club (NRC) as the Official Hydration Partner at Sharpshooter 2026, held from 26 to 29 March in Hanthana, Kandy.

Organised by the Hill Country Sports Shooting Club, the competition attracted nearly 350 competitors, including members of the Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, and civilian shooting clubs.

The tournament was conducted under the Practical Shooting discipline governed by the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), with competitors tested on accuracy, speed and precision.

The Negombo Rifle Club secured multiple podium finishes during the competition. Founded more than 70 years ago, the club marked its 75th anniversary in 2025 and remains the oldest civilian shooting club in Sri Lanka.

As the Official Hydration Partner, YETI Isotonic provided hydration support to NRC athletes throughout the event.

The collaboration was led by Dr Dilshan Balasuriya, Director of YETI, and Malik Perera, Chief Executive Officer of YETI, as part of the brand’s efforts to support athletes competing in physically and mentally demanding sports.

IPSC shooting in Sri Lanka was introduced in 1978 by Ravi Jayawardene and officially affiliated with the global governing body in 1990 under the National Rifle Association (NRA) of Sri Lanka.
