The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLEB) aims to provide 2,000 Sri Lankans with nursing job opportunities in Israel by 2025.
Since January this year, 148 Sri Lankans have secured nursing jobs in Israel. On February 18, air tickets were issued to 17 nursing professionals—15 women and 2 men—who are part of the 155th batch set to depart for Israel on February 24 for home-based nursing roles.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SLEB and Israel’s PIBA, 2,038 Sri Lankans have already been employed in Israel’s nursing sector.
The bureau urges the public not to pay individuals for job placements, as all employment opportunities under this program are processed through official channels.
