  • Manufactures total range of motorcycles, scooters and mopeds, with domestic value addition

TVS Lanka continues to redefine Sri Lanka’s two-wheeler industry by manufacturing the total range of motorcycles, scooters and mopeds, with domestic value addition.

As Sri Lanka navigates a critical economic phase, TVS Lanka’s commitment to domestic value addition plays a pivotal role in revitalising the economy, offering sustainable and cost-effective mobility solutions to Sri Lankan consumers.

Since the commissioning of its state-of-the-art vehicle assembly facility in 2021, TVS Lanka has focused on enhancing domestic manufacturing capabilities. The facility was established with an investment exceeding half a billion Sri Lankan rupees and is staffed by managers and technicians trained in India, ensuring global expertise in local production. This initiative aligns with the Industries Ministry’s domestic value addition programme, setting new benchmarks in quality and innovation.

TVS Lanka CEO Geethal Anthony stated, “We think this endeavour is particularly timely to manage the rupee depreciation. We are committed in developing the component manufacturing industry in Sri Lanka and glad to state that based on the investments made by TVS, we have developed a total ecosystem of component manufacturers, exposing to overseas training and now recognised with the OE status.”

TVS Lanka’s operations generate employment opportunities for Sri Lankan youth and skilled professionals, supporting local businesses and SMEs involved in the supply chain. Its contributions have gained international recognition and the company remains steadfast in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to Sri Lanka’s evolving transportation needs in collaboration with TVS India.
