28Sri Lanka’s parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne participated in the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) in New Delhi.
The conference was inaugurated on January 15 at the Parliament House Complex under the patronage of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr. Wickramaratne took part in high-level discussions and delivered a presentation on social media and its impact on parliamentarians.
He also held discussions with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on strengthening Sri Lanka–India parliamentary cooperation.
The 28th CSPOC concluded on January 16, 2026.
