Sri Lanka’s Suresh Dharmasena did really well yesterday at the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Tour worked off in Colombo. He got into the final of singles and also made it to the doubles final with Gamini Dissanayake. The matches were played at the SLTA hard courts.Dharmasena, who was the number one seed, won against Sung-Bong from Korea. He won by 7-5 and 7-5. Another player, Bin Yusuf from Malaysia, also made it to the finals by beating Tachi Tomoya from Japan with scores of 6-1 and 6-1.In the doubles semi-final
the Sri Lankan team of Suresh Dharmasena and Gamini Dissanayake beat Lima Jorcelino from Brazil and Tachi Tomoya from Japan by scores of 6-4 and 6-1. In another match, the Malaysian team of Bin Yusuf and Abu Samah defeated the Indian team of Durai Mariappan and Karthik Karunakaran.Sri Lanka is hopeful about winning both the singles and doubles finals today. They are the favorites in the tournament and want to finish the four-day event on a high note.
