Redington and IBM host AI for Business Innovation Forum to showcase AI’s potential for Sri Lanka
Redington and IBM recently hosted the AI for Business Innovation Forum in Colombo to help businesses across Sri Lanka unlock the full potential of AI and leverage IBM's advanced AI and data platform to overcome adoption barriers, enhance productivity, and elevate service quality. The forum explored how organizations are increasingly adopting AI-integrated technologies (including generative AI) in key domains such as customer service, cybersecurity and customer relationship management.
The event also marked a milestone in Redington’s partnership with IBM, celebrating 25 years of collaboration in pioneering technology solutions for enterprises. The event brought together industry leaders and technologists to engage in conversation on the transformative potential of AI for business.
The forum commenced with an opening address by Ramesh Natarajan, Chief Executive Officer, of Redington, who spoke of AI's role in changing business environments.
"We are celebrating our 25-year-long association with IBM India," said Ramesh Natarajan. "Together, we pushed the frontier of possibilities with AI and created a new future for businesses across industries."

The forum examined various sessions on AI’s potential and applicability in business, hands-on demo of watsonx (IBM's AI and data platform for business), discussion of responsible AI practices, and client use cases and advisory to local business leaders on AI adoption.
This was a great example of how technology companies like Redington and IBM are committed to driving digital transformation of businesses in Sri Lanka, supporting the nation’s vision of becoming a digitally empowered by 2030.
