RDA issues warning to motorists over expressway driving conditions

The Road Development Authority(RDA) has urged motorists to exercise caution while travelling on expressways due to adverse weather conditions.

The RDA noted that heavy cloud cover and fog have reduced visibility in several expressway sections and advised drivers to follow warning messages displayed on electronic signboards.

Motorists have been instructed to switch on headlights, maintain safe distances and control vehicle speed, particularly around 60 km/h where necessary.

The RDA also warned drivers to avoid sudden braking until weather conditions improve.
