Sri Lankan badminton player Nadeesha Gayanthi, who represented the country at the 108th All England Senior Badminton Championship held in England, returned home to a warm welcome after securing a gold and a silver medal at the international tournament.
The championship, 108th All England Senior Badminton Championship, was held in London from April 10 to 12 with the participation of around 400 players representing 25 countries.
Gayanthi clinched the gold medal in the over-40 women’s singles category and went on to secure the silver medal in the mixed doubles event, marking a strong performance for Sri Lanka on the international stage.
She arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport on the morning of April 15 via Emirates flight EK-650 from Dubai at around 8.20 a.m.
