IMF disburses another USD 695 mn to Sri Lanka under EFF programme

The International Monetary Fund has approved a further USD 695 million for Sri Lanka following the completion of the fifth and sixth reviews under the Extended Fund Facility programme.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka noted that total IMF financial support disbursed to Sri Lanka under the programme has now reached USD 2.4 billion.

The CBSL also stated that most programme targets and structural benchmarks were met, despite risks linked to the Middle East conflict and Cyclone Ditwah.
