Flights to middle east cancelled amid ongoing conflict

All flights from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to the Middle East scheduled for today (01 March) have been cancelled due to the escalating conflict in the region.

Airport authorities stated that since hostilities began on 28 February, a total of 115 flights operating between Sri Lanka and several Middle Eastern destinations have been cancelled.

Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for updates and alternative travel arrangements.
