Cyclone-hit students get Rs. 10,000 relief allowance

The President’s Fund has begun distributing a Rs. 10,000 allowance to schoolchildren affected by Cyclone Ditwah, announced the President’s Office today (14).

All funds have been sent to District Secretariats.

Students who previously received Rs. 15,000 from the Government will now be eligible for a total of Rs. 25,000 in aid, as stated by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during the recent budget presentation.
