White Peacock Celebrates the Art of Living Sculpture at Colombo Fashion Week - CFW Couture + Trousseau

This is an important new chapter for Sri Lankan fashion as Colombo Fashion Week introduces and expands Couture, its high fashion edition. Celebrating artistry, craftsmanship and creative expression, the edition is aptly themed Living Sculpture, further expanding the possibilities of fashion and the creative industry in Sri Lanka.

At this edition, White Peacock draws upon a natural synergy between art and craftsmanship, paying tribute to the extraordinary artistic language of Yayoi Kusama.

Known for her iconic use of dots, repetition and immersive environments, Kusama has transformed the simplest of visual forms into powerful explorations of infinity, perception and the human experience. Inspired by this spirit, White Peacock explores the ideas of repetition, form and perception through art, creating a visual experience that invites audiences to see familiar ideas in unexpected ways.

Across three days of CFW Couture + Trousseau, the story comes to life through art in many forms. Sculpture, visual compositions, form, repetition and craftsmanship come together to create an experience that audiences can discover, interpret and engage with.
