Sri Lanka showcases diverse tourism experiences at JATA Tourism Expo 2026 in Tokyo

Sri Lanka Tourism successfully participated in JATA Tourism Expo 2026, one of Japan’s largest international tourism exhibitions, held from 24th to 27th September 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan, in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan

Sri Lanka Tourism participated in the exhibition together with Sri Lankan Airlines and 22 Sri Lanka Tourism stakeholders, showcasing the island nation’s diverse tourism offerings, including its unique attractions, rich cultural heritage, abundant wildlife, pristine beaches, Ayurveda and wellness experiences, and a wide range of unforgettable travel experiences 

      The Sri Lanka Pavilion at JATA Tourism Expo 2026 was officially inaugurated on  September 24, 2026 with the participation of  Professor Pivithuru Janak Kumarasinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan.

The Sri Lanka Pavilion provided Japanese and international visitors with an opportunity to discover the warmth, natural beauty, cultural richness and diversity of Sri Lanka. The participation also created a valuable platform to enhance B2B and B2C engagement, strengthen industry partnerships, and further promote Sri Lanka as an attractive and diverse travel destination in the Japanese and international markets.

Through its participation at JATA Tourism Expo 2026, Sri Lanka Tourism further strengthened its engagement with the Japanese tourism industry and international travel trade, while creating greater awareness of Sri Lanka’s unique tourism experiences among potential travellers
